Italian Courses

The courses at each level will be taught using a communicative teaching approach, which will allow you immediately to interact in Italian in situations familiar to you. Before starting your Italian course you will meet our teacher in order to evaluate your level, your motivations and your aims in learning Italian. Our courses are designed according to the student needs. Courses for children, teenagers and adults are available. Below you will find a short, general summary of the objectives of each adult course.

I corsi ad ogni livello saranno svolti con un approccio di insegnamento comunicativo, che ti permetterà fin da subito di interagire in lingua Italiana in situazioni a te familiari. Prima di cominciare il corso di lingua Italiana, è previsto un incontro conoscitivo con l’insegnante per stabilire il livello dello studente, la motivazione e l’obiettivo che intende raggiungere. I nostri corsi sono infatti pensati e costruiti in base alle specifiche esigenze dello studente. I corsi sono indirizzati a bambini, ragazzi e adulti. Di seguito potete trovare una panoramica generale degli obiettivi per ogni livello dei corsi per adulti.

GENERAL ITALIAN COURSES

Beginner – breakthrough

(A1 Common European Framework of reference for Language)

During the beginner course, you will learn to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. You will learn to introduce yourself and others and ask and answer questions about personal details. You will be capable to interact in Italian in a simple way.

Elementary – way-stage

(A2 Common European Framework of reference for Language)

During the elementary course, you will improve your understanding of sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). You will learn to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.

Pre-intermediate –  threshold

(B1 Common European Framework of reference for Language)

In the Pre-intermediate course you will focus on dealing with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. You will improve your ability in producing simple connected texts on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. You will also be able to describe your experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions.

Intermediate – vantage

(B2 Common European Framework of reference for Language)

Moving to the Intermediate level, you will refine your interactive skills: you will be able to speak in Italian with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers on a wide range of topics. You will deepen you understanding of the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in your field of specialisation.

Upper intermediate – effective operational profiency

(C1 Common European Framework of reference for Language)

At this level, you will be capable of expressing yourself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions, you will use Italian language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.

Advanced – Mastery

(C2 Common European Framework of reference for Language)

At the Advanced level, you will have the proficiency in understanding with ease virtually everything heard or read. You will be able to summarise information from different spoken and written sources, you will express yourself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations.
